Jonkheer van Tets (Netherlands) is a very old cultivar of red currant which is still popular because of its early ripening time and its excellent taste.  It gives a lot of fruits on lushy bushes that have erected outgrowths, and that lay because of crops weight. Kordun system growth is recommended for this type of habitus. It blossoms very early, which makes it sensitive to spring frosts. Loss of underripe fruits is a problem in spaces with a greater quantity of spring rainfalls, and this is a consequence of apperance of gray mold.
